Nanomaterials have drawn considerable attention of researchers worldwide by exhibiting extraordinary features [1, 2] due to their dimensions in the nanoscale range, usually between 1-100 nanometers. The beauty of such materials lies in the fact that owing to their nano-dimensional structures, their properties vary significantly from their bulk counterparts.

This project involves theoretical research on nanoparticles, and investigation of their possible biomedical applications.

The student would attempt to explore different types of nanoparticles in terms of morphology, describe their unique physical, chemical & biological properties and discuss their potential applications in Diagnostics, Medical Imaging, Drug-delivery, Regenerative Medicines, etc.
