We are thrilled to announce a unique research opportunity within the SOČ program, getting familiar with different electric discharges especial focus on the application of atmospheric-pressure plasma technology in the medical field. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated high school students who have a genuine interest in exploring the intersection of physics and medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Investigate the potential of Atmospheric-pressure plasma technology on the adhesion of electrospun nanofibers as a scaffold for different tissues.

·         Basic characterization tests of electrospun nanofibers:

o   Water contact angle

o   Water uptake ability

o   Porosity measurement

o   Surface free energy

·         Conduct independent research and contribute to a SOČ project exploring the integration of plasma technologies into medical instruments.

·         Collaborate with mentors and peers to enhance understanding.

·         Present findings at SOČ events and showcase the exciting possibilities at the convergence of physics and medicine.

Qualifications:

·         Current high school student with a passion for both physics and medicine.

·         Eagerness to explore the basics of physics and medicine in the context of a research project.

·         Strong curiosity and a commitment to independent inquiry.

·         Excellent communication skills in English for effectively presenting research findings.
